We are a small family farm located North of Athens, Texas on Hwy 19. Our goal is to bring our community & customers fresh, locally grown produce that is chemical free.
R/C Flower Farm provides locally grown specialty cut flowers. We are not a florist or floral designer, but we do sell beautiful medium and large bouquets and small mason jar arrangements to brighten anyone’s day. If you have a special request please contact us. We sell our flowers exclusively at the Athens Farmers Market every Saturday from May til October.
Our business is a family farm located in Athens. We have two growing grounds on both north and south hwy 19. Hence our name. Bobby and Mark Bever are our farmers, Pam, Halie and Lindsey Bever are our business contacts and cooks. We grow all types of seasonal veggies and fruit. Our spring specialty is strawberries in the summer black berries. We make several jams and all kinds of pickled items. Our jars received 7 awards at the 2021 State Fair of Texas, including 2 blues. We have a strawberry patch in the spring just out side of Athens. We also have a local CSA during the Spring in Athens and Dallas. We look forward to seeing our costumers each and every week with farm fresh goodies.
I grow gourmet mushrooms at my small farm in Malakoff Tx using only natural ingredients and no pesticides. I grow everything that I sell.
Shirley Nice Flowers has been growing flowers in Athens since 2017. Shirley Niswonger, started growing her flower garden in order to provide fresh-cut flowers for her floral designs. Trained at the New York Botanical Floral Design School, Shirley has provided exquisite floral arrangements arrangements for weddings, special events, friends and family. The idea for her garden and business grew out of her difficulty in finding fresh local flowers for her creations. As she grew weary of driving to Dallas to buy cut flowers (many of which had been damaged in shipping and many of which were more than two weeks old), she realized the solution was to “grow her own.” Shirley’s garden now produces fresh seasonal flowers to meet her design needs and allow her to provide beautiful flowers for patrons of the Athens Farmers Market community.
Ateek Ranch and Duck Creek Produce are two farms working together to bring a wide variety of quality produce and gourmet mushrooms from East Texas to East Texas.
VJ Farms is a multi-generation operation taking great pride in the land that was passed down from our grandparents. We are among the first licensees to grow hemp in Texas. Being a boutique hemp farm takes time and effort; our time, patience, blood, joy, sweat, and tears go into making a high quality product. We third party test our plants and products at several points in the growing cycle to ensure the quality we have become known for. We know first-hand the healing power of the hemp plant and thus hope to educate and help our fellow Texans find natural remedies for pain, sleep issues, inflammation, blood sugar, and anxiety. VJ Farms Texas wants to be your go to CBD/CBG providers! We are excited for our second Athens Farmer’s Market and we can’t wait to see our customers and friends more often!!
Melton Farms is in Grand Saline, Tx. We grow vegetables, raise cattle, and produce hay for over 100 yrs! Today the farm is still run by family. You will find carrots beets, onions, tomatoes, red potatoes, purple potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, zucchini, green beans, peaches, okra, and peppers in our booth throughout the season.
Tindall Farms was handed down to us during the pandemic and we were happy to bring it to the farmer's market. The blueberry bushes were planted by Chris’s grandfather, Cotten, when Chris was born, so the Highbush Rabbiteye bushes are close to 10 feet tall now at 37 years old. We have let them grow wild for at least ten years if not longer. Last year we were set back because of the snow. We are hoping for a productive season to provide blueberries, jam and syrup.

We grow and sell microgreens with organic, heirloom seeds in hemp terrafibre. Microgreens have so many health benefits. We also have some seasonal produce.
We started formulating Ed and Red farmers and studying different methods to growing gourmet mushrooms in 2019 by 2020/2021 we were growing enough to start selling 4 varieties of Oyster mushrooms. We now are perfecting Lion's mane production to our products list. We are a small operation for local restaurants and Farmer's Market consumption and wish to remain so as a semi retirement business. We still get so excited when we see the baby mushrooms flushes appear on our "bricks!" it is hard work especially with readjusting growing patterns here where we have relocated to in Henderson County but we love seeing God grow what He gas set our hands to.
Clairmont Gardens was born in 2009 in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. A dear friend who owned a lavender farm suggested I develop my own farm. My father-in-law gave me a small plot of land, next to his filbert orchard, to plant some Lavender starts and see if I really loved what I was doing. After some research, I choose 6 different varieties, prepared the field, lay down weed cloth and installed a dripline watering system and planted 140 plants of the 6 varieties. That is all it took, I was hooked. My first harvest was so exciting, I knew I had found what I was meant to do. In the winter of 2016 I interviewed to take over the management and care of a much larger Lavender Field from a member of the Oregon Lavender Association. In addition to my smaller field, I was caring for and harvesting an additional 2,200 plants. This was an extreme test of strength and will, but I was determined to succeed. Each year at the end of harvest I “banked” the dried buds and oils in sealed containers. The products we sell are made with those buds and oils. Both fields in Oregon were in no spray fields, so although not certified “Organic” they are a close as one can get. The bases used for the lotions and creams are formulas that are as organic a possible. My soaps are hand made by a very talented soap maker in Oregon. Now that we have transitioned to Texas, I will be planting a new field and continue the journey here.
We are a small, family owned and operated farm in East Texas. Our main product is peaches, but hope to have watermelons and blueberries this year also. We use traditional farming practices. We take pride in our fruit and hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
Gopher Knoll is locally known for a commitment to toxin-free produce and honey. Our state-registered apiary is a member of the Real Texas Honey program, certifying our honey as 100% pure, raw and unfiltered product of honey bees in Texas (not carried to other states for pollination services). In addition, we test our honey annually for glyphosate contamination. ALL of our honey is produced and packaged on our own property in Athens, TX.
We raise honey bees and dairy goats - we make soap with our milk and honey. We also make a variety of other personal care products that include our bees wax, and other elements from the hive.
I started raising bees and selling honey in 1985. Today I have around 80 hives and still selling honey, wax and honey bees. My honey is strained and not filtered leaving it raw and in its natural state and taste. My honey house and extraction facility is located one mile east of Ben Wheeler.
We came from Mesquite just a year ago. Got our land, house, and put our beehives on our acres, and we been getting a lot of compliments of our organic fresh honey that this taste real awesome. We don't put any chemicals to our land.
We raise classic sized Angus and Hereford cattle that can fatten on grass without grain (80/20 hamburger and plenty of marbling in steaks and roasts). We have rationally grazed cattle on our property for 30 years. The organic matter in our soil grows an incredible amount of grass. The right cattle and land is what makes our beef so amazing. Born here, raised here, grazed here.
Good & Able Farmstead raises heritage pigs, sheep, and turkeys just a mile south of Athens. We are your local source for the best quality and true heritage breed meats. Our breeds are all listed on Slow Food's Ark of Taste as testimony of their superior flavor. They are also verified heritage breeds by the Livestock Conservancy. Our red wattle pork is available year round while our tunis lamb and bourbon red turkeys are only available seasonally.
TnT Ranch Is located in Cross Roads, Henderson County. Utilizing 300 acres with lush East Texas pastures, deep ponds, and tall oak trees with plenty of shade. We raise Brangus momma cows with Beef Master Bulls. Our slaughter steers are born and raised here in these pastures and finished on grain. Billy and Christy along with their twin daughters Calista and Cassity have been raising cows in Cross Roads since 2003. Cutting and baling their own hay, raising 4H/FFA show animals and always growing a vegetable garden.
We are what we eat and I only want the best for my family and my friends. I feed my chickens a non-GMO no Soy or corn feed and raise them on grass. They are healthier and happier and tastier. Woman owned and operated.
Vida Boa means “the good life” in Portuguese. A Brazilian/American family, we left Los Angeles in 2019 to live a healthier, more intentional and family oriented life. As homesteaders we bring the good life to our community supplying fresh whole chicken raised on pasture, various produce from our garden and handmade crafts such as wooden bowls, spoons/spatulas, serving boards, decorative boxes and trays.
My name is Kiley Atchley and I have a small farm/homestead. I am have a flock of chickens that are like family, we love them and they are spoiled. Our eggs are collected daily and are delicious coming from happy healthy chickens. I just recently added quail and plan to learn how to make pickled quail eggs. I also enjoy baking and love making breads and sweets. My chocolate chip cookies have always been much loved by family and friends. A recently hobby I've found myself enjoying is plants! I've fallen in love and they bring me such peace. I love taking clippings and watching them take root. I also enjoy taking multiple clippings from my plants and making frankenpots (just a mash up of different plants) and I love meeting fellow plant people!
